So here I'll be following my figure-drawing principle, that horses are human too :) ... a few studies of the Arabian horse (except last one, I think) on A3 size pages, using pastel, conte and pastel + water color.
Before this, I had no idea Arabian horses have such a distinctive head shape - almost conical, with large eyes and nostrils, and a concave-ish 'forehead/bridge of nose' area. Their neck has a pronounced arch, and the lower back (croup) is flat with a high-pointing tail. Beautiful animals indeed!
